Yes, the world has ended, pigs have flown, hell has frozen over … call it what you will, but I have begun blogging.
Let me set things straight first. This is not for you. Simple as that. If you find comfort in my situations, humor in my stories, or hope in Scripture then please keep reading. However, this is a place for my thoughts (scribbled and unedited) to pour out. The only reason for pouring my thoughts out into this blog as opposed to my lovely Moleskines is that my fingers glide across keys at a rate that is supernaturally quicker than my pen on a page.
Now for the answer to the million dollar (value subject to change) question. Why “in the midst”? Well, that’s where I am. In the midst. In the midst of a new chapter, an unmarked course, confusion, joy, sadness, hope, despair …
The title comes from a quote by Erwin McManus,
“God clarifies in the midst of obedience, not beforehand.”
Right now I am in the midst. Being obedient one day at a time. Desiring to know my Father like He knows me. Finding the balance between patience and persistence. Trying my best to practice wisdom and discernment in order to hear my Shepherd’s voice and follow it.
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” – John 16:27
