I know, as the first post in…oh, 3 months, you’d expect something flashy, deep, or profound. Well, this isn’t it.
My life has been far from those things in the past few months. The past 3 months have been tough, emotional, and uncertain, to say the least.
However, with each challenge comes an opportunity for growth and learning. I’m trying to make the most of these opportunities and learn from the wiser, more seasoned people in my life.
Last night…at 12:14 a.m…I became a couponer. (not even sure that’s a word, the red line is trying to debate me, but I’m claiming it as my title) I left the new 24 hour Harris Teeter with a whopping savings of about $50 thanks to coupons and HT deals!! I saved more than I spent!
I had trouble sleeping last night due to the elation of feeling like an 80 year old woman and a barganista at the same time.
Learning to embrace the simple things in life (or not so simple…couponing is not a brief or painless endeavor) brings about moments of joy and victory in the mundane.
Celebrate those! I rode my shopping cart out of the grocery store yelling, “Woot Woot!” It’s okay to do.
Work hard. Get messy. Celebrate.
Clip. Clip. SAVE!
